I decided to give the old Tim Ferris Slow Carb Diet” a try once again for the next 30 days. For those of you who are unfamiliar, this diet is straightforward and relatively easy to follow, but only if you are able to handle eating the same thing over and over again.

There are 3 groups of foods from which you are allowed to eat from:

Protein: Eggs, Chicken, Grass-fed Beef, Pork

Legumes: Lentils, Black beans, Pinto beans, Red beans

Vegetables: Broccoli, Peas, Spinach, Mixed Veggies

For 6 days of the week, I’ll select an item from each group and that usually makes a meal. Breakfast starts off with eating 3 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, peas, and pinto beans. Lunch is chicken, salad mix, and lentils, with balsamic or italian dressing. Dinner has been the only meal where I’ll get creative and make a recipe from the Centr app, but I’ll make sure to include an item from each group.

I’ve also been enjoying being able to drink soda again—the diet allows for all you can drink beverages such as unsweetened tea, black coffee, diet sodas, and other low/no calorie drinks. My go-to choice is Coke Zero.

Goals

  • Drop at least 15 pounds of body fat.
  • After 30 days, weigh-in at 180 pounds.
  • Start to see my abdominal muscles—preferrably in the form of a six-pack.

Results

Week Weight BMI
1 193 23.5

Also, I’m committing to exercising 5 days per week, following the Centr Unleashed 6-week program.

I’ll keep you updated on how this goes and will share my results weekly! ✌️
